Ok, so we are going to travel around
the entire Peninsula. Starting from the open Atlantic Oceans
side, and coming back via False bay which is still the
Atlantic Ocean.
Contrary to belief, this is not where the
Indian and Atlantic oceans meet, but where 2 currents meet;
one coming from the south with cold water and one coming
from the north with warm water. This makes the False bay
side of the peninsula Warm and the open sea side cold.
We take a ride on one of the boats in
Hout Bay to visit the colony of Cape Seals.
Afterwards, we drive the fantastic Chapmans
Peak Drive and its majestic scenery of Hout Bay.
We carry on route to Cape Point, passing
Scarborough beach
At Cape Point we visit the Light house and stand looking in all directions, wondering how far we are from everything.
We leave Cape Point and start our way back via False Bay. Here he will first visit the Famous
Penguin Colony. What?? Penguin in Africa???
After much staring we leave the penguins and visit Simonstown. This is the place where the british landed first and this can be seeing in
the architecture. This is also the place of our dearest character
Just Nuisance, the dog who was friends with the sailors and the only one
to have held official rang in the Navy in the world. He was Able seaman Just nuisance.
We then return to the city after a Full day of awesome
views.
